From Serving Behind the Scenes to Creating an Experience of My Own

Every journey begins somewhere. Mine began at Beaches Resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where I worked as a spa attendant while raising my two children and helping care for my cousin’s children.

Life was busy. During the day, I worked at the resort, and at night, I operated a taxi service. I was doing whatever was necessary to provide for my family while building a better future for us.

At Beaches, I was responsible for preparing and cleaning the spa and massage rooms for the therapists. Day after day, I watched them create moments of relaxation, comfort, and healing for their guests. Somewhere between preparing those rooms and witnessing the transformation that happened inside them, something awakened in me.

I knew I wanted to become a massage therapist.

That dream became possible when I was blessed with a scholarship from the Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands. With determination, faith, and a vision for my future, I pursued my education and graduated from the Florida College of Natural Health in 2007.

I returned home to the Turks and Caicos Islands and returned to Beaches—this time not as a spa attendant, but as a licensed massage therapist.

For two years, I had the privilege of growing my craft at Beaches while also working part-time at Ambergris Cay. That opportunity opened another door and eventually led me to Gansevoort Resort’s Exhale Spa, now Wymara Resort & Spa.

What began as an opportunity became an extraordinary chapter of my life. I spent 11 years at Wymara, where I was honored to be recognized as a highly requested therapist, Employee of the Month, and to have my work recognized on the Forbes list.

But perhaps the greatest reward was not the recognition. It was the people.

Every client who trusted me with their time, their bodies, and their moments of rest taught me something. Every treatment became an opportunity to connect, to listen, and to create an experience that was personal and meaningful.

Then came the pandemic. Like so many others, I found myself at a crossroads. I could remain in the comfort and security of the career I had built, or I could take a chance on something of my own.

I chose to take a chance on me.

With faith in God, years of experience behind me, and a heart full of determination, Rose Mobile Spa was born.

Starting my own business was a gamble—but it was a gamble rooted in faith, passion, and purpose. Today, I am incredibly grateful to have met and served so many wonderful clients, both new and returning. Every person I meet becomes part of the Rose Mobile Spa story. Every experience is different, every client is unique, and I cherish each one.
